About Us

Last updated 29 September 2026

AutoCoderCV began with a small, annoying problem: a developer's real work lives in their repositories, and turning that into a CV means writing the same descriptions again by hand, badly, at eleven at night before an application deadline.

What we built

A free CV builder that connects to GitHub, reads the repositories you choose, and drafts résumé bullet points from what is actually there — the README, the languages, your share of the commits. You edit every word.

It grew past developers quickly. The templates now cover healthcare, legal, education, engineering, business, creative and service roles, because the hard part of a CV is the same everywhere: saying what you did, clearly, in a format a machine can read.

What we believe

No invented achievements. Our AI is constrained from producing numbers that do not appear in your data. A fabricated "improved performance by 40%" is a question you cannot answer in an interview, and that is a worse outcome than a plainer sentence that is true.

Machine-readable by default. Most CVs are parsed by software before a human sees them. Our templates are real HTML rendered to a PDF with a genuine text layer — not an image with your name in it.

Your private work stays private. Private repositories can inform your CV while never appearing on a public page. That is enforced in code, not left to a checkbox.

Free, and honest about why. There is no paid tier. The site is supported by advertising, which is why you will see ads on the home page, the guides and the country pages — never inside the builder, the ATS checker or your CV.

How our guides are made

Our guides and country pages explain how CVs are read — by applicant tracking software and by the people who hire. They are maintained by the AutoCoderCV team at SoftyIT. We avoid invented statistics: where advice depends on the country or the employer, the page says so. Conventions change, so every guide shows the date it was last updated. If something is out of date or wrong, write to us at hello@autocodercv.com and we will correct it.
