🇧🇩 Bangladesh CV format

This is the format most readers of this site already write. It is worth setting out plainly, because knowing what is local convention is what lets you strip it correctly for an overseas application.

What is standard here

• Two to three pages
• A photograph, commonly
• Date of birth, father's name, mother's name, permanent and present address
• National ID number, sometimes
• Marital status and religion, on more traditional CVs
• Two named referees with full contact details
• SSC and HSC results alongside your degree
• CGPA out of 4.00, or division for older qualifications

None of this is wrong. It is what local employers expect, and a CV missing referees or educational results will be queried.

What to remove for an overseas application

For the UK, US, Canada, Australia and Ireland, remove:

• The photograph
• Date of birth and age
• Father's name and mother's name
• Marital status, religion, gender
• National ID or passport number
• Full residential address — keep the city
• Named referees with contact details
• SSC and HSC results, once you hold a degree

Professional registration

Where your field has a registry — BMDC for doctors, BNMC for nurses, IEB for engineers, the Bar Council for advocates, ICAB and ICMAB for accountants — put the number in your contact line. It is the first thing screened for.

Job portals

Most professional hiring here runs through online portals, which means your CV is being parsed before a person reads it. A single-column layout with conventional headings matters as much here as anywhere.
