Who this suits

A safe default for business & management roles and for any application going through a large employer's careers portal, where the first reader is software rather than a person.

How it handles ATS parsing

Single column with a linear reading order, conventional section headings, and no layout tables. Contact details sit in the body text rather than a page footer, because footer content lives outside the text layer and many parsers drop it entirely.

What you can change

Accent colour, font body, font heading, spacing, scale, line, section order, which sections appear, page size (A4 or Letter), and every word of the text. Nothing here is locked behind a payment.

How to write an HR CV in People

HR CVs are read by people who read CVs for a living, so clarity matters more here than anywhere. People gives policy, compliance and the employee lifecycle equal weight in a single column.

Sections, in this order

  1. Professional summary — headcount you supported and your areas
  2. HR qualifications — for example CIPD or SHRM, where held
  3. Experience
  4. Areas — recruitment, employee relations, payroll, learning, compliance
  5. Systems — the HRIS and payroll tools you use
  6. Education

Bullet points that work

  • Cut time-to-hire from [45] to [28] days by [rebuilding the interview process].
  • Led the [policy review] after [a change in labour law], completed [ahead of the deadline].
  • Rolled out an [HRIS] for [600] employees across [four] sites.

Figures in [brackets] are placeholders. Use your own, and only ones you could explain in an interview.
